This walk is one with beautiful views of the stunning rolling countryside of East Lothian, learn the legend of the Saltire and visit to the never completed Barnes Castle. The route uses a mixture of paved and earth paths, and farm tracks ascending approximately 150m. It is not recommended for wheelers.
Please note that the paths can get muddy and have high vegetation so appropriate footwear and waterproof clothing is advisable. The route passes through farm land so please stick to the path and make sure that if you bring your dog, it is kept under close control. Please take your rubbish home with you. Leave nothing but footprints so that the walk is left beautiful for others to enjoy. Note that the only bin is at Drem station
